Zawj Match Terms of Service
In short: Zawj Match is for Muslim adults aged 18 or over who are sincerely looking for marriage. Be honest, be respectful, keep conversations halal, and never share sexual content, harass anyone, ask for money or pretend to be someone else. If you break these rules we may remove content and suspend or ban your account. You can report or block any member from their profile.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Chaudhary Muhammad Ali Raza ("Zawj Match", "we", "us"), which operates the Zawj Match app. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Who can use Zawj Match
- You must be 18 years of age or older. You confirm this when you register. Accounts that we believe belong to anyone under 18 are closed.
- You must be legally able to marry where you live, and not be barred from using the app by law or by a previous ban from Zawj Match.
- Guardians (wali) and family members may create their own accounts to support a relative's search. They must also be 18 or older and must act with that relative's knowledge and agreement.
- You may only have one personal account.
3. Marriage-only purpose
Zawj Match is a marriage-introduction service. It is not a casual-dating, friendship or hook-up service. Use it only to look for a spouse for nikah, with sincere intentions, and in a way that respects Islamic etiquette and the involvement of families.
4. Your account
- Give true and current information about yourself, including your age, marital status and religious practice.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us straight away at contact@zawjmatch.com if you think someone else is using your account.
5. Your profile and content
- You are responsible for the text, photos and messages you add. Only upload photos of yourself that you have the right to share.
- You let us store, display and process your content as needed to run the app and as described in the Privacy Policy. You still own your content.
- Other members can see your profile according to your privacy settings, and they can share a short text summary of it (no photos or contact details) outside the app.
6. Content and behaviour that is not allowed
You must not post, send or do any of the following. This applies to your profile, photos, proposals, chats and anything you share through the app:
- Nudity or sexual content, including sexually suggestive photos, messages or requests.
- Harassment or abuse: threats, insults, bullying, stalking, unwanted repeated contact, or pressuring someone to share photos or contact details.
- Hate: content that attacks or demeans people because of their race, ethnicity, caste, nationality, sect, gender, disability or similar characteristics.
- Scams and asking for money: requests for money, gifts, loans, investments or payment details, or any fraud.
- Impersonation and fake profiles: pretending to be someone else, using another person's photos, or giving false information about who you are.
- Anything involving minors: profiles for anyone under 18, or any content that sexualises, grooms or endangers children. We report child sexual abuse material and credible threats to children to the authorities (see our Child Safety Standards).
- Contact harvesting: collecting other members' phone numbers, emails, social-media handles or photos for any purpose other than a sincere marriage enquiry, or trying to get around the app's filter that blocks contact details in chat.
- Spam and commercial use: advertising, recruiting for other services or apps, or sending the same proposal or message to many members.
- Illegal content, or sharing someone else's private information or images without their permission (this can also be an offence under Pakistan's Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016).
- Misusing the app: hacking, scraping, using modified versions of the app, or trying to access data you are not allowed to see.
7. Sharing contact details and WhatsApp
- To protect members, the app blocks phone numbers, email addresses and social-media handles in chat.
- You can choose to show a "Message on WhatsApp" button on your profile. It is off by default. If you switch it on, members who view your profile can see your WhatsApp number and contact you outside the app, where these terms and WhatsApp's own terms apply. You can switch it off at any time.
- If someone contacts you on WhatsApp in a way that breaks these rules, report their Zawj Match profile.
8. Profiles listed by Zawj Match
Some profiles are listed by our matchmaking team at the person's own request and are marked "Listed by Zawj Match". These people do not have an app account; you can contact them only through the WhatsApp button on their profile. The rules in section 6 apply to that contact too. A listed person can have their listing changed or removed at any time by emailing contact@zawjmatch.com.
9. Reporting, blocking and moderation
- You can report any member from their profile or from a chat (reasons include fake profile, inappropriate photos or content, harassment or abusive messages, scam or asking for money, and underage), and you can block any member. Blocked members cannot message you, send you proposals or open your profile, and they are not told that you blocked them.
- Our team reviews reports and aims to act within 48 hours. Reports about child safety are handled first.
- If you break these terms we may, depending on how serious it is: remove content, hide your profile, limit features, suspend your account, or permanently ban you. We may keep a minimal record of a ban to stop you from registering again, and we may report illegal content to the authorities.
- Identity verification is optional. A "verified" badge means our team checked an ID document; it is not a guarantee about a person's character or intentions.
10. Price
Zawj Match is currently free to use, with no subscriptions, in-app purchases or advertisements. If we ever add paid features, we will tell you in advance, and you will not be charged unless you choose to buy them through Google Play.
11. Meeting people and our responsibility
- We do not run background checks and cannot guarantee that what members say about themselves is true. Take sensible precautions: involve your family or wali, meet in public places, and never send money.
- We provide the app "as is" and cannot promise that it will always be available or error-free, or that you will find a spouse.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for what members do or say, inside or outside the app. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under laws that cannot be excluded.
12. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings → Account actions → Delete Account, or by email. See how account deletion works. We may close accounts that break these terms or that have been inactive for a long time.
13. Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply.
14. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Islamabad have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your own courts.
